Banned Again?
Wtf.
this is completely ridiculous. Now i realize that anet is attempting to crack down on gold sellers and hackers but what about everyone else who enjoys the game and it's competitive nature. first of all my friend was banned and his account told him that he had purchased gold online when he did no such thing. So we decided to get back at at anet in a way so we both made new pvp charactors. Mine was named Retarded Was Anet and my friends name was Retard Was Anet. Guess what? We both got banned. What the hell? Are people so easily offended that the word Retard gets me banned? wow. And then to make it worse i logged in again today and guess what? Banned. Apparently i've been using inappropriate language in game. The only thing that could have possibly gotten me banned was at the end of a GvG match against some b spike gimmick we rolled them and i said "Thank you for Sucking" in all chat or "Noobs go home plz". What the hell? How does anet justify banning me for that? It's ridiculous but what is worse is the fact that some one reported it. Are people so easily offended that something like that sets them off? This disgusts me and i have 166 hours to think if i want to continue playing or sell both my accounts on E bay and maybe get something out of this game. My question though is has anet started banning for pointless reasons? Because i've never had something like this happen before and i've said stuff like this during my whole game play. |

Can't make a judgment on the ban for inappropriate language, but you deserved to get banned for the PvP characters names, you violated the EULA.

Evidentally anet didn't appreciate your pvp character names, and somebody else didn't appreciate how you congratulated them on a well played match.
I used to play Dark Ages of Camelot, and when you were killed or when you killed someone in pvp most of the time you saluted or bowed to your opponent. Rarely did you hurl insults at them. Thats one of the reasons I don't pvp here among others. I guess you will just have to tone it down a bit or suffer the consenquences. |

I remember back when I was laughing my ass off about an article on the nature of "I'MA CHARGIN' MAH LAZER!!!1!1" and I decided to taunt an opposing losing team in RA with the words "Eat <insert derogatory name for black people>beams!" Pointless fun that earned me a 2-3 day suspension.
I still call people noobs and such, but what you did with your names seems far from pointless to me. Seems like you're calling out ANet in-game and saying that you hate it, and you expect them to let you do that. I do agree that some people report on ridiculous terms, and even more ridiculous is how ANet listens to them on certain occasions. This, however, is something you were asking for. |

"Anet" is inappropriate language. Read the rules of conduct. The only thing you both can do is contact support, but it sounds like they are doing their job. There may have been an error on the gold buying bit, but you are not helping your case by antagonizing support in this manner.

Anet is a bunch of little kids. There is a reason why this game was rated T for Teen, and they are under the impression that this game was rated E for everyone. They should have allowed you to change the names.
I agree with you on the gold selling thing. They are merely overspeculating for the most part, using their own judgement to decide whether or not an account went through "suspicious" activities. I got some friends that got banned for "buying gold" when they didn't do shit. Most of them pretty much don't do high end sales, knowing Anet might RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO up again and again. |

ROFL Retarded Was Anet...that's pretty funny...
Personally I don't think you should have been banned for that but if it violates some abstract "EULA" or w/e the crap it is then...tough luck bro :/ |

There isn't anything we can do, only support can lift a ban, we can't.
